Virus classification
(unranked): Virus
Realm: Varidnaviria
Kingdom: Helvetiavirae
Phylum: Dividoviricota
Class: Laserviricetes
Order: Halopanivirales
Family: Sphaerolipoviridae
Genus: Gammasphaerolipovirus
Species

Thermus thermophilus virus P23-65H
Thermus thermophilus virus P23-72
Thermus thermophilus virus P23-77

Morphology

The virus particle, called a virion, of viruses in the genus has a capsid that is icosahedral in shape. The capsid contains an internal lipid membrane between the capsid and the genome, which is in the center of the virion.

gollark: Fascinating.
gollark: A JIT in a runtime thing means you can benefit without difficult custom code everywhere.
gollark: That sounds vaguely accursed and a high maintenance burden.
gollark: Oh, you're doing core war.
gollark: Generally.
