Gail Parata
Gail Parata (born 26 November 1967)[1] is a New Zealand netball coach and former player. She currently coaches Scotland's national netball team, the Scottish Thistles.

Parata played one game for New Zealand's national netball team, the Silver Ferns in 1996. She had stints as assistant coach of ANZ Premiership teams, the Central Pulse and Northern Mystics, and was assistant coach of the Silver Ferns in 2012. In 2013 she was appointed head coach of the Scottish Thistles.[2]
Of Māori heritage, Parata affiliates to Ngāruahine, Ngā Rauru, Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Toa and Te Atiawa ki Whakarongotai iwi.[3]
