History

It is known from the elders people that the then British government had entrusted the governance of the village chairman(Gram panchayat) of this union to the late Dr. Abdul Karim Chowdhury of Khirsin village of Ghoshnagar union no.9 What is the reason for burning the necessary papers? After the senior officer came to know about this news, he handed over the power of village chairman(Gram Panchayat) to Mr. Azgar Ali Mandal of Gaganpur village in writing on 24-01-1935 through discussions with eminent persons of this union. The activities of this office have been going on in his meeting room(Gaganpur Mondolpara) ever since. When there is a need for an office room according to the needs of different people in the union, people from different villages have different opinions about having that office in their own village. In order to resolve this disagreement, the surveyor determined the middle of the union by measuring it by consulting the mahat-matabbars of different villages. The middle of the union is determined between Jamgram and Kotali mouzas. Since there is a paddy field there, a mud house with 06 rooms was built in Jamgram mouzas named Gaganpur Bazar, 7 or 8 hundred yards away from there. Work continues till this office. Due to the increase in various activities of this office, space constraints occur. Quote to solve this problem. On application to the owners, LGD, Patnitala, Naogaon, during the rule of the then Chairman Mr. Abdul Karim Mandal, on 29-04-2004, this building was constructed as a 13-room two-storey building in Patnitala-Dhamairhat area. Mr. Md. Samsuzzoha laid the foundation stone for the construction. The present building is made of bricks. The present Union building was inaugurated on 06-03-2005 - Patnitala - Dhamairhat Area M, P-Mr. Md. Samsuzzoha Khan (Jjoha). Work has been going on in this building from that date till today.

gollark: Wonderful.
gollark: Wait, why does it take a double pointer or something to the list in `add`?
gollark: If I ever need a really inefficient way to store a large but unknown-at-compile-time integers while using C, I'll keep this in mind.
gollark: They're probably okay if you have really giant nodes and also need to prepend/concat a lot.
gollark: The Rust docs for them say as much.
