Villanueva has lost three times to top Light Middleweight Superstar, Mexican Canelo Álvarez.[1][2] He also has losses to Michel Rosales, Miguel Vázquez, Roberto Ortiz, Jorge Páez, Jr., Michael Medina and Gilberto Ramírez.
