Francien van Tuinen is a Dutch jazz-singer.[1]

Career

In 1997, van Tuinen won the Dutch Jazz Vocalist Competition. In 1998, she graduated from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen,[2] and then played and recorded with various jazz groups, including her own quintet and several big bands and an orchestra.

Her song Fallin' is based on the harmonic language of the etude Op. 8, No. 4 by Alexander Scriabin.

Today, Van Tuinen makes appearances with her new band Tripod.
