The Fragonard perfumery is one of the oldest perfumeries in Grasse (Côte d'Azur, France). It is located in the centre of the city.

It was founded in 1926 by a former Parisian notary, Eugène Fuchs, in one of the oldest factories in the city, originally built by perfumer Claude Mottet in 1841. The firm is named after the great local painter Jean Honoré Fragonard, himself the son of a master perfumer at the court.

Fragonard opened its first Parisian boutique in 1936, after launching two successful perfumes.

The firm also owns a free museum in Paris, the Musée du Parfum, which presents rare objects that evoke the history of perfumery for more than 5000 years.

The company is run by Françoise and Agnès Costa, great granddaughters of Eugène Fuchs.

gollark: There are better systems for electing representatives than the extremely terrible first-past-the-post one in use, but nobody is using those. I don't trust people enough to expect direct democracy to produce remotely favourable outcomes. But the politicians who get elected are also quite bad, so who knows.
gollark: How long do eels take to recharge? If you swap out the eels fast enough, it should be possible to keep a current constantly.
gollark: "Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid altogether" is another good one they will probably *also* complain about.
gollark: “You need the power of the logarithm.” is apparently a quote by "Rich Hickey", which happens to be written on a page I have open on some persistent tree datastructure.
gollark: “There's nothing in the rulebook that says a golden retriever can't construct a self-intersecting non-convex regular polygon.” ← very quotable quote
