Design and History
Katsina State was created from the northern part of Kaduna State in 1987. The flag of Katsina State consists of a white field with the inscription "KATSINA" written in black capital letters in the upper hoist. [3] It is based on a flag used by the historic Katsina Emirate, which was of a similar design. [4]
