Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses

Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses (born in 1969 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese historian, living in Ireland since his young age.[1] He is a professor in Maynooth University, whose historiographical production is predominantly centered around the contemporary history of Portugal.[2]

He graduated and received his doctorate at Dublin Trinity College, respectively in 1992 and in 1997.[3] His doctoral thesis dealt with the governments of the Sacred União and Sidónio Pais. In 2017 he was elected a member of the Royal Academy of Ireland.[4]
