Fascist Cops
Fascist Cops is a 1978 protest song by the Belgian punk band The Kids, which satirizes police officers. It appeared on their album The Kids (1978) [1]and is widely considered to be one of their signature songs. [2] It was nevertheless never released as a single. [3]
Background
The song is performed by Ludo Mariman (electric guitar and vocals), Danny De Haes (bass) and Eddy De Haes (drums and vocals). Production was in hands of Leo Caerts.[4] The song was inspired by the band members' own feelings of being stigmatized by police officers because of their punk looks. [5]
