History
FAM-ASIAN U18 Champions Trophy previously U16 (2014) and U15 (2013) is one of the major tournaments organized by Frenz United FC primarily to promote the continued development of young athletes as it relates to the fundamentals of football, sportsmanship, and athletic competition. This can be achieved through participation in games and other football related activities and competing at the highest level possible.
The inaugural Asia Under-16 Champions Trophy 2014 had brought the best out of 12 teams from the Asian region as they challenge for the coveted trophy and at stake is the US$100,000 (RM330,000) winner’s purse. The Asia U-16 Champions Trophy is simply an ‘upgraded’ version of the 2013 Asean Under-15 Champions Trophy spread over a wider platform in the region.
