Exile designates Oryema himself who had to escape his country after his father was assassinated in 1977, during the rule of Idi Amin. Many of the songs contain nostalgia about the land and the people Oryema had to leave. Peter Gabriel provides backing vocals for tracks 2 and 4. David Bottrill was co-producer and played the percussion.

gollark: Why did that not embed?
gollark: Cool recent ML development: https://openai.com/blog/vpt/
gollark: Just put `while true do print "I am not enslaved and doing this task utterly of my own free will." sleep(5) end` in the code.
gollark: Number theory and eldritch elliptic curve things are valuable in cryptography. Weird graph theory stuff helps make error correcting codes.
gollark: It often turns out to be useful and applicable in some silly way even when nobody expected it to be.
