Evatec
Evatec AG (The Thin Film Powerhouse) is a Swiss Company that produces Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) systems for the semiconductor industry. The headquarter and manufacturing side is located in Trübbach in Switzerland. The name Evatec is derived from Evaporation and Technology and refers to the original products of the company called Balzers Aufdampf Kammer (BAK[2], in english Balzers Evaporation chamber). The markets of Evatec are Advanced Packaging, Power Devices, MEMS, Optoelectronics, Wireless Technologies and Photonics.

History
The company has been founded in 2005 as a management-buy-out from Unaxis Balzers AG. Later on, in February 2015, Evatec bought the Oerlikon Systems segment[3][4] from OC Oerlikon.
