European Languages and Movies in America

European Languages and Movies in America (ELMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing European movies. It was founded in 2006 by Pascal Ladreyt and is based in Santa Monica, California.[1] ELMA's mission is to create new avenues for better cultural understanding between the people of Europe and the USA by celebrating alternative cinema.[2]

Supported events

ELMA supports region-based film festivals in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Examples of supported events include:

gollark: What if we could *automatically* detect sarcasm?
gollark: I would of course inevitably be present.
gollark: Hello, octahedra.
gollark: Facebook *somehow* went above this, and then patched internal data structures in memory to get around it accursedly, instead of just not having 65536 classes.
gollark: In the Android world, Android has a limit of 65536 classes per application for mostly irrelevant technical reasons.
