Ethanesulfonic acid

Ethanesulfonic acid (esylic acid) is a sulfonic acid with the chemical formula CH₃CH₂SO₃H. The conjugate base is known as ethanesulfonate or, when used in pharmaceutical formulations, as esilate. It is a colorless liquid.[2]
