It had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 8 October 2019. It is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on 18 September 2020, by Bulldog Film Distribution, and in the United States on 2 October 2020, by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

Cast

Production

In December 2017, it was announced Sally Hawkins had been cast in the film, with Craig Roberts directing from a screenplay he wrote. Cliff Edge Pictures will produce the film.[3] In February 2018, Alice Lowe and David Thewlis joined the cast of the film. Adrian Bate will produce the film, while Mary Burke, Adam Partridge, Meroë Candy, and Paul Higgins will executive produce the film, under their Cliff Edge Pictures, The Wellcome Trust, Bankside Films and Ffilm Cymru Wales, banners, respectively.[4] In June 2018, Billie Piper and Penelope Wilton joined the cast of the film.[5] That same month, Robert Pugh, Paul Hilton, and Morfydd Clark joined the cast of the film.[6] In July 2018, Robert Aramayo joined the cast of the film.[7]

Filming

Principal photography began in June 2018, in Wales, United Kingdom.[8]

Release

It had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 8 October 2019.[9] In July 2020, Samuel Goldwyn Films acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film.[10] It is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on 18 September 2020, by Bulldog Film Distribution,[11] and in the United States on 2 October 2020.[12]
