Biography
Olde had no formal training or industry connections prior to starting her film career, something she credits as an advantage.[4] She was a marketing student in London when she began helping her friends shoot documentaries and music videos. She then pursued a career in film, hiring an agent and reviewing scripts.[4]
Her first project was November Criminals, a crime drama film based on the book of the same name. Her following projects included the films The Female Brain and Home Again.[4] Olde produces films through her own production company, Black Bicycle Entertainment[4] and in 2017 she was featured in Variety Magazine's Women's Impact Report.[5]
In 2015, Olde created a women's study program at the Ghetto Film School in New York City and Los Angeles, which later opened to young men as well.[6][7] She is also the founder and CEO of the Erika Film Foundation, which awards an annual grant of $500,000 to one graduating student enrolled in the Ghetto Film School’s IRIS IN program.[3]
