Emilia Zoryan

Emilia Ares Zoryan (born May 3, 1990) is an Armenian-American film and television actress, producer, director and writer.[2] She finished as 1st Runner-up in Miss Global 2013 beauty pageant.[3]

Emilia Ares is of Armenian, Spanish, Arabic, Iranian, and Italian descent.[4] Ares graduated from Palisades Charter High School with honors and earned a BA in Economics from UCLA.[5] It is there that she minored in the Russian Language and studied film. Shortly after, she made her film debut as the lead in Conrad Jackson's award-winning Falling Overnight. Subsequently, Ares starred in V/H/S Viral and The Dark Tapes.[4] She landed a recurring guest star role in the second season of Amazon's critically acclaimed noir detective hit, Bosch. Next, Ares will play Natalie in Mr. Invincible alongside Bill Engvall and Alyson Stoner.[4] Ares also appeared in Will Wernick's anticipated Escape Room follow-up, No Escape (2020).[4] Ares portrays Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia in the Fox series American Horror Story.[4]

Early life

She was born in Armenia and moved to Los Angeles, California as a child[6], where she toured locally and internationally with a dance company since she was 5 years old.[4] Ares graduated from Palisades Charter High School with honors. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics and minored in Russian language.[5] Ares also completed several courses on the history of film.

Emilia is most recently recognized for her national Verizon spot featuring Thomas Middleditch[7] and national Jergens campaign featuring Leslie Mann for Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer.[8]

Emilia has appeared in many ads some of which include appearances for Apple,[9] Sony, Coca-Cola,[10] and a PSA called "Time" for the American Academy of Dermatology.[11]

Film

Emilia made her film debut in Falling Overnight as Chloe Webb, a young photographer who meets and develops a relationship with Elliot Carson (Parker Croft) on the day before he has surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor.[5] Emilia has worked on several film projects, including Falling Overnight (2011) and V/H/S: Viral (2014)[4]

Television

On television, Emilia has a guest star role in the second season of TV series Bosch from Amazon Studios.[4] The series is based on the novels centered on the character of the same name by Michael Connelly. The first season of the series was released on Amazon Prime Video on February 13, 2015.[12] For Emilia's first television appearance, she landed the role of Anastasia on Unstrung, an ABC Family one-hour pilot from Life Unexpected executive producer Emily Whitesell.
