Emergency Squad was distributed theatrically in Italy on 24 April 1974 by Jumbo Cinematografica.[1] The film grossed a total of 985,981,000 Italian lire.[1] Film historian and critic Roberto Curti described Emergency Squad as a "surprising commercial hit" on its initial theatrical release.[1][5]

Director Stelvio Massi recalled that on the film's premiere in Rome he was deeply embarrassed by the audience's reaction to a scene where bandits shoot a police car that explodes as the audience greeted the scene with rapturous applause.[1]

gollark: Can you use something other than genetic algorithms? If your problem is nice you could probably something something gradient descent.
gollark: This may be useful, however.
gollark: I meant for dunno's thing, not Ikea APIs.
gollark: Fortran is apparently used lots for numerical/scientific computingy stuff. Rust is often used for extension modules for things. I don't know what Matlab's APIs are like.
gollark: Probably not.
