Elysa Dutton

Elysa Koplovitz Dutton is an American film producer and senior executive of theatrical development and production for Alloy Entertainment.[1]

Early life and education

Dutton graduated from Brown University with a bachelor of arts in Art/Semiotics. While at Brown University, she co-created and produced a bi-weekly television soap opera about student life called Sob Story that was nationally syndicated to colleges around the country.[1]

Career

Dutton began her career as a production executive at MTV Films where she oversaw development for the first five years of the company. She went on to become a senior executive at Twentieth Century Fox and in house producer for HBO Films.[1] As an executive, some of her films include Election, directed by Alexander Payne, Like Mike,[2] as well as Mike Judge's first feature film Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.[1] Dutton also produced Mike Judge’s 2006 comedy Idiocracy which depicts a dumbed down future five hundred years in the future.[3]

In 2013, Dutton joined Alloy Entertainment,[1] overseeing its film division as SVP of Film Development and Production.[4] She produced the Warner Bros. and MGM film Everything, Everything,[5] based on the best-selling book by Nicola Yoon,[6] and starring Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson. The film was released in May 2017.[7]
