The length of the forewings is 4–4.9 millimetres (0.16–0.19 in). The forewings are broad, grey and densely dusted with light brown scales especially along the costa and in the distal half of the wing. The hindwings and underside of the wings are grey. Females are larger and have paler forewings, varying from dirty yellowish white to light greyish brown.
Etymology
The species name is derived from Latin nubilus (meaning gloomy).

gollark: Maybe the ND section should have my egg time finder extension thing? It's pinned in the <#331291747059630082> channel.
gollark: Apparently I'm hatchling-locked for another 21 hours. Annoying!
gollark: It is very convenient though. It's hatched in 10 minutes of hatcherying and autorefreshing.
gollark: I really wonder who thought it was a good idea to dump their low-time (2d10h) egg with plenty of views into the AP.
