El Nacional (Santo Domingo)

El Nacional is a Dominican newspaper founded by Dr. Rafael Molina Morillo, as president/owner of Ahora! Publications, in 1966.[3] The online version of the newspaper was founded on July 17, 1997.

As of 2012, the newspaper director is Radhamés Gómez Pepín.[4]

In February 2017, the newspaper received international attention when it mistakenly published an image of Alec Baldwin portraying Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, instead of Donald Trump himself. The paper quickly apologized.[5][6]

On July 20, 2019, the site www.elnacional.com.do ranked 60th in Dominican Republic.[1]
