El Especialito
El Especialito is a free Spanish-language weekly newspaper magazine, originally published under the name of El Especial in 1985[3] and renamed in the 1990s.[4] It was founded by Cuban American entrepreneur Antonio Ibarria and is distributed by USA, Distributions Inc, in northeastern New Jersey, New York City, and Miami.[5][6][7] Coverage includes celebrity profiles, lifestyle, health, personal finance, sports stories, and community news.

El Especialito is distributed more than 5,500 yellow news racks in 13 independent zones with a weekly publication over a quarter of a million copies of has circulation of more than a million readers, making it the largest Hispanic weekly in the United States.[8][9]
El Especialito is part of Ibarria Media Group, which employees 90 employees and operates as family business run by Ibarria and his two sons, Anthony and John.[5] The group also publishes the paid weeklies El Especial NY/NJ, El Especial Miami as well as the celebrity newspaper Personalidades.[10] Ibarria has been commended for his contributions to the Hispanic community,[5][11] including having a street named for him.[12]
