Egriselda López

Egriselda Aracely González López (born 1980s)[1] is a Salvadoran diplomat. From 2010 to 2013, she served as Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at El Salvador's Embassy in the Republic of Korea. She was appointed Counsellor (2013) and Minister Counsellor (2015) at El Salvador's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. In August 2019, she became the Permanent Representative of El Salvador to the United Nations.[2][3][4]

Egriselda López studied at the University of El Salvador, graduating as a Bachelor of International Relations. She then earned a master's degree at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Master of Public Administration at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[2] She completed a dissertation on gender parity in the Salvadoran Foreign Service in November 2018.[1] While at the United Nations, she has stressed her interest in ensuring gender parity and supporting women faced with gender-based violence.[5] She is also a leading member of the United Nations LGBTI Core Group.[6]

Egriselda López is married and has a daughter.[1]
