Edet FK
Edet FK started off as two separate Swedish football clubs (Inland IF and Lilla Edet IF) but amalgamated in 2012 to become Edet FK.

Inland IF
Inland IF started in 1925 under the name Ströms IF and has always pursued football operations, but also other sporting activities. The club has produced a number of football talent at Premier Division level, and Gunnar Johansson who advanced to GAIS.
Lilla Edet IF
The oldest records available which contains the name of Lilla Edet IF dates back to the 30/7 1913 when the club purchased a spear that came with the train from Gothenburg, purchased at A Th. Nyberg AB on Main Street 41. The first note about football is in a board meeting minutes from 1918 when it was announced that a man decided to play a match against Trollhättans IF on Sunday 30 June. Maden as the stadium was originally named (pronounced MAA) was built in 1918 and it consisted of slag tipped there, the grass was not laid out in the beginning, the players were probably pretty black on the legs after the games. The new club Lilla Edet IF was formed on 28/7 in 1931 and its first chairman was Country Fiscal Torsten Stranne, it was an amalgamation of a number of compounds, of Protocol of 25 April 1931 between the clubs LEIS, Comrades, Athletic Club and Ping Pong Club, it was decided that the merging of these clubs, under the name of the previously dissolved compound Lilla Edet IF, abbreviated LEIF would be made, the club decided to apply for membership in Southern Bohus Series.
