History
The original County Hall was located in the High Street in Lewes.[1] The Council moved to Pelham House in Lewes in 1938 and then it moved on to St Anne's Crescent in Lewes in 1968.[1] The new building, which was designed by Jack Catchpole with sculptures by William George Mitchell, [2] was opened by the Duchess of Kent in October 1968.[1]
