East Fairmont High School is a public high school serving the eastern half of the town of Fairmont in Marion County, West Virginia. The dividing line between the east and west sides of Fairmont is the Monongahela River. The school was founded in 1917 by folks on the East Side of Fairmont and held in the auditorium of Central School.[2] In 1921, a new building was constructed on Morgantown Avenue and was used until 1993, when a new, more modern East Fairmont High School was constructed near the Kingmont Rd. exit on I-79.
