History

Dynatrace began on February 2, 2005 with the founding of dynaTrace Software GmbH[5] in Linz, Austria, and was part of the May 9, 2005 acquisition of Adlex, Inc. by Compuware.[6] On January 2, 2007 Compuware acquired Proxima Technology's Centauri Business Service Manager. After acquiring Gomez, Inc. on November 9, 2009[7] and dynaTrace Software July 1, 2011,[8] the product set was named Compuware APM. In 2014, the private equity firm Thoma Bravo took the company private, and the Compuware APM group was renamed Dynatrace.[9][10] Dynatrace established the Digital Performance Management category in late 2014.[11]

Dynatrace went public on August 1, 2019.[12]
