Drona (2020 film)

Drona is a 2020 Indian Kannada-language action drama film, directed by Pramod Chakravarthy and produced by Mahadevappa B. Halagatthi under the banner Dolphin Media House. Starring Shiva Rajkumar playing the role of a government school teacher who fights for the survival of school.[2][3][4] The movie is an official remake of the 2012 Tamil movie Saattai.[5]

Plot

Guru (Shiva Rajkumar) an simple government teacher whose purpose of life is to bring government schools on par with the private schools. When he is transferred to a government school in Nelamangala, he investigate and understand the problems that such institutions face. From teachers to politicians to students, and even the wards’ parents, nobody wants any changes in the system. But Guru is annoyed by the mediocrity. Politicians and teachers want to milk as much money as they can with each passing year from the government school. After getting a detail about this, Guru decides to change the system.

Assistant Headmaster Raghu (Rangayana Raghu), a relative of the local politician Uday Krishna (Ravi Kishan), tries to create problems for him as he (Guru) stands between them and the school. How he overcomes the problems and wins the hearts of students and teachers forms the heart of the story.
