Drew Pattison

Drew Pattison is an Oberlin-based bassoonist where he teaches at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

Pattison studied with George Sakakeeny at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (BM), Bill Buchman at DePaul University (MM), and Richard Beene at the Colburn School. Before joining the Oberlin Conservatory faculty, he previously taught at DePaul University. Drew Pattison has held the position of Principal Bassoon with the Elgin and Lake Forest symphonies and second bassoon in the Houston Opera. He has also performed with the Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera, Milwaukee Symphony, Joffrey Ballet/Chicago Philharmonic, and many other groups in the Chicago area. He will be teaching at Round Top Festival Institute in the summer of 2018.
