DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando – Lake Buena Vista

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando – Lake Buena Vista is a 229-room all suite hotel[1] located within the Disney Springs Resort Area. The hotel is located on the property of the Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

The hotel originally opened on March 15, 1987 as the Pickett Suites Resort. It completed a $2 million renovation in 2005 and another update in 2008, which included the addition of DoubleTree's new Sweet Dreams bed within the guestrooms. The hotel is managed by the Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Branding history

In December 1989, Guest Quarters acquired the Pickett Suites brand, and the Pickett Suites Resort was re-flagged as a Guest Quarters Suite Hotel shortly afterward. Four years later Doubletree Hotels acquired the Guest Quarters brand; the former Guest Quarters Suite Hotels were re-flagged as DoubleTree Guest Suite hotels during the first half of 1995. Although Doubletree's parent has since been acquired by Hilton Hotels Corporation, no changes have been made to this particular property's branding.

gollark: Why would god care about humans so much?
gollark: What? That adds more complexity for no gain. It's a worse model.
gollark: It is entirely valid to say "we don't know". It's not valid to say "we don't know, so let's just postulate yet ANOTHER step in this process with no evidence".
gollark: A god of some sort *could* exist, but there isn't good evidence for them.
gollark: I mean, most of the "gods" we think about are suspiciously humanlike. And human minds are complicated. The universe is complicated, but easier to describe; people have it down onto T-shirts now (described in very dense mathy notation).
