Diplosome

In cell biology, a diplosome is a pair of centrioles arranged perpendicularly, located near the nucleus.[1] It is present in all eukaryotic cells except for higher plants. It plays an important role in mitosis. The rigid arrangement of centrioles in a diplosome is generally established after the procentriole is formed during mitosis.
