Detlev Karl Wilhelm Baumgarten-Crusius

Detlev Karl Wilhelm Baumgarten-Crusius (24 January 1786, Dresden – 5 May 1845, Meissen) was a German educator and philologist. He was the older brother of theologian Ludwig Friedrich Otto Baumgarten-Crusius (1788-1842).

From 1810, he served as a vice-principal in Merseburg, afterwards performing similar duties in Dresden (from 1817). In 1833 he was appointed rector at the "Landesschule" in Meissen, where he worked for the remainder of his career.[1][2]

Baumgarten-Crusius is known for his work in the field of classical philology, in particular, editions of the Roman historian Suetonius. In 1822-24, he published an edition of Homer's Odyssey.

gollark: I don't see why you would want it? They couldn't really be extra cores which seem like they're on the same CPU. They would, as I said, have to be an effectively independent computer with some kind of high-bandwidth link to the main one.
gollark: That would also be very impractical, unless you make the "extra cores" basically a small independent computer with its own RAM and stuff.
gollark: Connect PCIe devices, mostly, which you can do now.
gollark: As far as I'm aware, the traces on the boards for the DIMMs have to be very precise lengths and stuff or the signals will get messed up.
gollark: That's totally impractical.
