Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy
The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy is a department of the Queensland Government in Australia. The department is responsible for regulating mining, land, and water resources in the state.[1]

Structure
The department is the responsibility of the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Anthony Lynham. The department works across four key areas:
- Land and water
- Titles and valuations
- Mining and resources
- Energy
- Mapping and data
These responsibilities include place naming in Queensland. The Department also operates the Museum of Lands, Mapping and Surveying.[2]
