Denton County Sheriff's Office (Texas)

The Denton Sheriff's Office is a law enforcement agency located in Denton County, Texas. The current sheriff is Sheriff Tracy Murphree.[1] The office operates a county jail that houses up to 1,400 prisoners. More than 600 people work for the Denton County Sheriff's Office. Most of the office's workers work in the Detention Bureau.[2]

The office is co-located with the jail at 127 North Woodrow Lane in the county seat of Denton.[3]
