Denis Wiehe

Denis Wiehe C.S.Sp. (born May 21, 1940 Curepipe, Mauritius) is the current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Port Victoria, Seychelles, since his appointment on June 1, 2002.[1] He succeeded Xavier-Marie Baronnet, who is now Bishop Emeritus of the diocese.[2]

Wiehe was ordained a Catholic priest within the Holy Ghost Fathers on August 17, 1969. He was first appointed a coadjutor bishop of the Diocese of Port Victoria on April 24, 2001.[1] On June 1, 2002, Wiehe was elevated to Bishop of the Port Victoria, succeeding Bishop Baronnet, who retired.[1]
