Dead Clean

Dead Clean is a film shot in December 1997 in Southampton, England and starring Andrew Sachs (Fawlty Towers) and Shane Richie (EastEnders). It was directed by Chris Barfoot and the story was by Colin Idiens.

Log line

A Greek window cleaner (Sachs) is mistaken for a Greek hitman (Richie) and employed by Tony Judd (Mark Chapman) to murder business partner Frazer Morton (David Weller). Surprisingly... things don't go to plan in this comedy of deadly errors!

Awards

'Dead Clean' won the Gold Remi for comedy (experimental) at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival in the US in 2001.[1][2]

Miscellaneous

Richie took 'Dead Clean' to the BBC and soon after joined the cast of EastEnders. Also features Steve Humphrey - who appeared in 'One Foot in the Grave, 'The Demon Headmaster' and 'Harbour Lights'.
