DeAnna M. Burt

DeAnna M. Burt is a major general in the United States Air Force currently serving as the director of operations and communications of the United States Space Force.[1][2] Prior to being assigned at his current position, she was vice commander of the United States Air Force Warfare Center of the United States Air Force.[3] Burt was nominated for the promotion of major general on May 4, 2020. She was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 21, 2020 for promotion to major general and has assumed such position.[4][1][5]

Burt entered the U.S. Air Force in 1991 as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Her career has included numerous satellite operations and staff positions in Air Force Space Command and U.S. European Command. General Burt has commanded the 2nd Space Operations Squadron, the 460th Operations Group, and the 50th Space Wing. She is a graduate and former instructor of the USAF Weapons School and a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Prior to her current assignment, General Burt was the Vice Commander, United States Air Force Warfare Center, Nellis AFB, Nevada.[3]
