Background

The song was inspired by the short shorts worn by the character Daisy Duke on the CBS-TV series The Dukes of Hazzard.

Music video

Though its "cuts" are very brief ones, the music video for "Dazzey Duks" does feature the participation of actress Catherine Bach, who made that particular style of short-legged denim trousers popular during the years when she acted out the character on television, along with the members of Duice. Her participation in some of the said cuts, however, was of the "blink-and-you-miss-it" type because of how brief they are.

Chart performance

The song peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as reaching No. 16 on the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1993. It was certified 2x platinum on January 27, 1994 by the RIAA.
