Professional career

Coleman was signed by the Dallas Cowboys on May 13, after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft.[3] Because of injuries on the defensive line, he made his NFL debut and first career start in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, recording two tackles.[4] His progress was slowed after suffering a strained calf in a weight room accident and was eventually waived on November 22. He finished the year on the practice squad. On April 24, 2015, he had a verbal altercation with teammate Greg Hardy, in regards to Hardy's past domestic violence issues. He appeared in 3 games (was declared inactive for one) without registering a tackle, before being released on September 28.[5]
