Born in Kilmarnock, McPherson played club football for Kilmarnock[2] and Rangers,[3] and made one appearance for Scotland in 1892.[4]

His older brother John was also a Scotland international,[1] and several other family members were also involved in football.[5]

gollark: Google does, if not much else, have, as far as I know, a good track record for not letting other people get their precious datas.
