Development

The game was announced on 16 May 2017 when the Steam Greenlight campaign was launched.[1][2]

Gameplay

The game is opposite to the original Dark Train. While Dark Train was a nontextual adventure game, Dark Train: Coupe is a visual novel told through dialogues and text. The player is sometimes given an opportunity to make a decision that will influence the game's progress and eventually the ending. The game itself is non-linear.[3][4][5] The whole gameplay is supposed to be textual.[2]

Story

The main character is Ann Tagrezbung before she became a mechanical squid from the original Dark Train and still was a human. The whole game is set in Border City.[6][7]
