Dan Peña
Daniel Steven Peña Sr.[1] (born August 10, 1945) is an American businessman.

Early life
Peña was raised in east Los Angeles.[2] He served in the military during the Vietnam War, but never saw combat.[3] In 1971 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Fernando Valley State College (now California State University, Northridge).[4]
Career
Following his graduation Peña became a financial analyst on Wall Street.[5] After he was made redundant, Peña established JPK Industries, an oil company [6]
Peña acquired Guthrie Castle in Scotland in 1984.[7] He later developed the castle into a weddings business.[8]
Peña later established Great Western Resources, a Houston-based oil company.[9] Great Western Resources was floated as a public company on the London Stock Exchange in 1984. He was ousted as president of the company in 1992, in a move backed by shareholders.[6]
