History
Kleinman founded the site in January 1999 in Beaverton, Oregon.[3] Besides news and reviews, it features information on hidden DVD features known as "Easter eggs".[4][5] In 2000, posts to their forum led Amazon.com to cease the practice of dynamic pricing.[6][7][8] In 2007, the site was sold to Internet Brands.[9]
Reception
Shawn Levy of The Oregonian called it "worth a visit",[10] and Randy Salas of the Star Tribune recommended it as a source of information for DVDs.[11] It was used at one time by industry insiders to gauge interest in DVD titles.[12][13][14]
gollark: I may need to fix my font config or something, because half of that is just a bunch of rectangles with tiny hex chars in them.
gollark: Linguistic code-golf!
gollark: Or make it explode. No way *that* can go wrong.
gollark: They could replace the actual sign with a screen of some sort, and have it figure out its location from GPS and display it. That way it'll be useful even if someone steals it.
gollark: Ah, I see.
