Crudia zeylanica
Crudia zeylanica was a species of legume in the family Fabaceae. It was found only in Sri Lanka.The Crudia zeylanica was known to be extinct since 1988. But now they have rediscovered a Crudia zeylanica (tree) in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. Now Crudia zeylanica is in Critically Endangered level. This is due to farming and environmental issues. The Crudia zeylanica (also known as the Sri Lanka Legume) produced a form of fruit.

Rediscovery
This tree once thought to be extinct has been rediscovered recently (after 1911) and the two specimens discovered are again under threat due to being located along the trace of Colombo - Kandy Expressway.[1]
