History
In 1902, the Boston Steam Ship Company ceased its ferry service operations from Boston to the Cottage Park Hotel in Winthrop. Due to this, a group of local businessmen met at a hotel to explore the possibility of purchasing the ferry dock to start a Yacht Club. Later, they purchased the head pier and ticket office to be used as a clubhouse and started the Cottage Park Yacht Club.[2]
Fleets
One-Design racing fleets include N-10,[3] Optimist, 420, Laser and Snipe Rhodes 19
The Snipe fleet (number 244) was awarded the prestigious Commodore Hub E. Isaacks Trophy in 2007 when skipper Tomas Hornos won the World Championship.[4]
gollark: (I know Gb is gigabit, not sure if you *meant* that)
gollark: Is that gigabit or gigabyte?
gollark: Making downloading costly can be explained by accursed copyright weirdness. Video for no apparent reason is very ???.
gollark: Weird. Why would they *want* more traffic?
gollark: Although I'd still expect a lot of listening to be done with screen off etc. And smart software would stop the video stream then.
