25 July 2013, "Luch" has conducted a live firing test of its new antitank missile system “Corsar” at a firing range near Kiev.[4][2]

In November 2013, Polish Army was interested in acquiring the system.[1]

Corsar is likely to replace Russian/Soviet anti-tank systems such as the 9M113 Konkurs and 9K111 Fagot.

Development

On July 25, 2013 at a landfill near Kiev there were successful tests of the missile. At the test, the Corsair missile demonstrated the ability to fire both a guided and an unguided rocket using on the same launcher.[5].

On August 29, 2017, Ukroboronprom reported that the Corsair Lightweight Portable Missile System, which was developed by the "Luch" State Design Bureau, was adopted by the Ukrainian Ground Forces ,according to the Ministry of Defense.[6]

In November 2018, an updated version of the system with Greek made thermal imaging camera added to the launcher was demonstrated[7].

gollark: Computer systems, in general, are bad enough that if you don't keep up with patches ever few months your stuff is probably vulnerable to a few things, particularly old complex software like Wordpress.
gollark: It's just scanning for old poorly secured systems.
gollark: I have some config to redirect requests for `.php` to the audio stream for my "internet radio" thing.
gollark: Oh, I look at that sometimes, lots of `/cgi-bin` too.
gollark: Instead the actual consumer products are just "please send the entire highly integrated product in, we will not let you replace anything".
