History
Coole Swan was launched in Ireland in March 2007.[4] To mark the occasion, British film director Mike Figgis created "Coole Stories" a series of short films, especially for the brand's debut.[5] The name Coole Swan was inspired by the poem "Wild Swans at Coole", written by one of Ireland's great romantic poets; W.B. Yeats.
Bottle
Based on the Victorian Milk Bottles the bottle is slimline and fits in the fridge. The glass bottles are produced by Hrastnik in Slovenia and decorated in Poland by Dekor Glass. At Dekor the bottles are painted with a special white, light resistant paint keeping Coole Swan fresh and ready for consumption.
Manufacture
Callebaut Belgian white chocolate is added to fresh milked cream. The two are then blended in a gentle heating process that takes up to 5 hours to complete. Finally, the single malt Irish whiskey is poured into this mix.

Storage and shelf life
Coole Swan Irish Cream Liqueur has a shelf life of 2 years when stored away from direct sunlight at temperatures between 0 and 25 °C (32 and 77 °F). Once opened, the manufacturer recommends Cool Swan to be stored in a refrigerator where it will last from 6–9 months.
Drinking
As is the case with milk, the cream will curdle whenever it comes into contact with a weak acid. Milk and cream contain casein, which coagulates, when mixed with weak acids such as lemon, tonic water, or traces of wine. While this outcome is undesirable in most situations, some cocktails specifically encourage coagulation.
