Committee on Medium-term Path on Financial Inclusion

Committee on Medium-term Path on Financial Inclusion is an experts committee formed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on 15 July 2015 to create a five-year plan for financial inclusion in India. It is headed by Deepak Mohanty, executive director of RBI. It is expected to submit its report within four months.[1]

Objective

The objective of the committee is to examine the existing policy regarding financial inclusion and the form a five-year action plan.[3][4] The plan will be have several components with regard to payments, deposits, credit, social security transfers, pension and insurance. Each component will be made monitor-able with milestones to track the progress of the plan.[4]
