Chen Pao-yu

General Chen, Pao-Yu (陳寶餘), (born 1958) is a Taiwan army who is currently the Chief of the Army Staff Taiwan since April 2019 and deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Prior to that, he was deputy chief of other army staff since April 2017.[1]

Born in Lianjiang County, Fujian Province. He graduated from Chinese Military Academy in 1980 and also attend an Infantry Captain course in Army Command and Staff Course including Taiwan War College.

He commands 295th de, head of Army S3, Commanding General 6th army, Commanding General of Hualien Defense mand and Head of J3, Commanding General of the 10th Army before being deputy chief of the Army and Executive deputy chief of the Army Staff.[2][3][4]
