Charanpreet Singh

Charanpreet Singh is an Indian film actor, based in Mumbai.[2][3][4] He started off his acting career with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra.One and went on to do films like Zanjeer, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Ungli, Sarbjit and Haseena Parkar.[2][5][6] Charanpreet is also a dialect and diction coach.[7]

Early life

Singh was born on March 26 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He spent his formative years in Tehri Garhwal, before moving back to Dehradun, and eventually Mumbai.[8]

Career

Singh made his big screen debut in the blockbuster Ra.One featuring Shah Rukh Khan, before being part of projects like The Train, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Zanjeer, Ungli, Sarbjit and Haseena Parkar. He also trained Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadda in Punjabi dialect and diction for the film, Sarbjit.[9] Next he worked as a diction coach for Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez for Remo D'Souza's film A Flying Jatt, before working with Arjun Kapoor in Anees Bazmee's Mubarkaan.[9]

A linguaphile, Charanpreet has a command over English, Hindi, Punjabi, Garhwali, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and Bangla. He's also an avid reader, painter and writer.
